NDIS funding: how much could you get?

There is no set amount. NDIS funding is based on your needs and goals, not your income. But the NDIA's own figures show what plans usually look like.

The three NDIS budgets

  • Core: everyday help. Support workers, transport, everyday care items, and joining in the community.
  • Capacity Building: building skills. Therapy, support coordination, plan management, and help to find a job.
  • Capital: bigger items. Equipment like wheelchairs, and changes to the home.

What changes how much funding you get?

  • How much help you need each day.
  • Your goals.
  • Your age.
  • Help you already get from family and other services.
  • Whether you need support at home day and night.

How you can manage your NDIS funding

You choose how your plan is paid: agency-managed, plan-managed or self-managed. We accept all three.
